Welcome to Herts Tai Chi

At Herts Tai Chi we cover a wide range of modalities: Tai Chi, Chi Gung, Meditation and two person practice, Push Hands and Da Lu, with students of all ages and abilities.

Learn Tai Chi on an individual basis, in groups or in a corporate or team building setting.

Good quality teaching allows you to obtain a foundation in the basics of Tai Chi.

The more experienced student will then progress to learn and understand subtle aspects of the energy work of Tai Chi.

Beginners practise both static and moving Chi Gung. Moving Chi Gung develops the pleasurable sensitivity that comes from soft relaxed movements while standing Chi Gung builds internal strength giving your body and your Tai Chi practice more power.

My teacher is Master John Ding 7th generation traditional Yang style. Main teachers in the past are Master Dong Traditional Yang style and Master Sangeetam founder of the Golden Flower Yang style Short Form.

To fully grasp the subtleties of Tai Chi, knowledge should be transmitted through regular contact and learning with high level Tai Chi masters. Of course this would be simply a passing experience, if it wasn’t consolidated with your own dedicated practice, perseverance and application to fully understanding the powerful practice of  Tai Chi Chuan. Following this path is one way to access the principles and truths, which are Tai Chi.

Although Tai Chi is slow and gentle and doesn’t leave you breathless, it addresses the key components of stress — muscle tension, lack of strength, stiffness, body balance and life-style balance.

If you attend a weekly class it’s possible to transform your stressful state into a relaxed and energised state.

After a full days practice, a state of “energised stillness” is possible.
